Atrial Fibrillation and Mortality: Prognostic Factors and Direction of Prevention

This review focuses on major causes and risk factors for death of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The authors analyzed current therapeutic strategies managing AF respect their effects prediction mortality. Special attention is paid to the strategy rhythm control clinical significance catheter ablation in treatment heart failure.
